ATHLETE LEAVES IN EXPEDITION FOR THE COAST OF BRAZIL São Paulo December 22, 2000 The Athlete ipiranguista Dan Robson Dias, leads off on December 31, 2001 an expedition of 365 days for the whole extension of the Brazilian coast. The exit will be of the beach of Barrra of Chuí, it spies with Uruguay and Brazil, and will extend for the 17 Brazilian states. Dan Robson is 31 years old and it is capable in dive free, autonomous, advanced and it hunts submarine, techniques in picture and environmental filming, survival techniques in the jungle, First Aid and techniques in rappel and natural escalades in rock. He is since August seven hours daily rates, being 4 hours of trekking, 1:30hs of swimming, 1:30hs of muscular activity and physical conditioning. So that the athlete gets to travel the more than 8.000 kilometers of the Brazilian coast, she will have to accomplish a goal of approximately 30 daily kilometers. He will pass for about 2000 beaches. The Projeto Areias365, of which Dan Robson is the only member, the exploration of the Brazilian coast is destined, discovering the marvels of the beaches, some never inhabited. Paradisiacal places, fauna and flora and sea life will be registered in filmings and pictures done by the athlete. He will be the first man to follow the stripe the contour geographical of alone Brazil. Therefore, it will be making trekking techniques, natural escalades and some crossings to transpose some natural obstacles. The objective of the project is to register that adventure in a book " Areias365 days of walks ". The information and images collected by Dan Robson, as: Habits of the populations of the coast, approaching economical and religious, social and cultural practices, tourist mapeamento of each area, preservation of the environment, and the plants used by the native people among another they will be part of this book. The project has the support of an University of São Paulo and nine deprived companies.
